Betting W/O "the big 6"
Just having a nosey on bet365 at some potential bets for the season and was a bit staggered to see we are at 11/1 to basiclally be "best of the rest" this season, everton, wolves and leicester are all 10/3 or 7/2 so the gap in price seems huge to me.

Might just be a bet365 blindpot though as looking on skybet i couldnt find the same market but we were 13/2 to actually finish in the top 6.

Fill ya boots as they say

"I can't see Wolves being anywhere near as good as last season."

They gave Man City a really good game pre season and wiped the floor with Newcastle.

They have the best midfield / passing game outside the top 6. Maybe the best manager as well.

I think there's a good chance of Chelsea and Man Utd dropping out of the top 6 and Wolves and someone else coming in.

I had £10 on us to win last four games in Tevez season at 150/1.

Re: Betting W/O "the big 6"
Could have been a bookie mistake. Last year sky bet mistakenly had us at 66/1 to lose the first three matches. Took them about a week to realise the mistake and then corrected it to 6/1.

I had the max bet they would allow at this which was about 6 quid. Once they realised the mistake they offered a fiver free bet and corrected the price. Which unfortunately under their terms and conditions they were entitled too

so we moved from 66-1 to 6-1

I’d say it’s unlikely.

Re: Betting W/O "the big 6"
Only thing a ridiculous price like that would have been is like a new customer offer where you could stick like a maximum of a fiver on and all your winnings would be free bets

Block has been battered so badly on here recently, he is a shadow of his former self.

He cant even be bothered to Bolterang his original 66/1 comment.

Sad really.

Everton's last 4 pre-season games:

0-0
0-0
0-1 (to Everton)
0-0

Imagine if that was us!

Re: Betting W/O "the big 6"
havent looked at all the handicap things but hard to pick against man city again, if they get up towards 95-100 points again it will take someone hugely overachieving to get close to them as i expect liverpool wil be alot closer to them in terms of the handicap this year

Re: Betting W/O "the big 6"
I love a lucky 15 e/w handicap across the four divisions.

3/4 out of the four placed last season. Unfortunately the fourth was Fulham. So yeah I bought into the expected goals hype and the plus 46 points

This year I went with Southampton at plus 45 thinking if they get 55 points I might get a result

Re: Betting W/O "the big 6"
Grumps i did that handicap thing last year with us but then realised very shortly into the season it was a bad decision, thinkt hey gave us a 33 point handicap or something and we were never going to get close to City

66-1 and it’s been backed into 6?

Bullshit.

Re: Betting W/O "the big 6"
Last time I done the handicap betting was back when we actually came 5th and the bookies had us at 33/1.

Can't remember what various points starts we had over other teams, but we ended up winning it by 1 point from Leeds.

Was a silly price then as we had a bloody good team and I think we should be at least 20's now.

Re: Betting W/O "the big 6"
Bookies aren't stupid, they can still see how suspect our defence is and that if Haller doesn't fire, we pretty much have fuck all else up front with Hernandez being more of an impact sub man.

Yeah i get that but Skybet have us 13/2 to actually make the top 6, so 11/1 to finish 7th just seems huge to me
